24. Drinks.

Seeing it's summer and really how what I live. A good drink to drink on a hot day is some ice cold ice tea or ice cold water. A lot of people like ice cold beers too. But I'm not a beer drinker..lol...Just give me some good ole cold ice tea and I will be a happy camper.

Beautiful photo, thanks so much for sharing.

My hubby and I went to Scotland in May 2000, and I got so emotional when we crossed from England into Scotland, as felt as tho I was finally home. I have since been told it was my genes kicking in. My paternal Grandad arrived in NZ from Scotland many moons ago. One day I hope to be able to visit again, and see more than I did the first time.

Animals - 3rd

I decided to show you a couple of pictures of my current animals.
I have two ragdoll cats. Dixie is a seal colour point and Rio is a blue colour point. They are 5 and 4 years old respectively. They are adorable, beautiful ( i know im biased) and so very loving. The only against i could ever find is that their hair maults daily and there is lots of it lol

I also have a jack russel cross patterdale dog called Scooby. In the picture below he is still a puppy. He is now 15 months old he is still very much a handful, but at least he doesnt have me crying of a night time yelling what have we taken on!! He annoys the cats by chasing them around the house. I used to have a beautiful garden until we had a mole turn up and now the dog and mole are in competition of who can dig up the garden quickest!! He is also very loving , loyal and adorable in his own way.

Hope you enjoy my pictures

Hugs, Shelley

Karen your dogs are stunning. They so deserve all the awards they win at the highest level. They dont come any higher in the Uk than Crufts.

4 Movies

I have to say my all time favorite movie is The Green Mile.

I usually start crying after about 10 mins of watching it , once the old man starts to cry thats me off aswell and then on n off all the way through.  By time the film finishes im a blubbering wreck.

13 Health

Hmmm let me think health thats a hard one let me see how about a tip for health.

The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.
~Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows, 1990

I'm a very healthy person even though I'm obese.  I got my Dad's genes I guess.  He was always a large man but didn't have any health issues until he was in his late 70's.  I'm one lucky person but I should really try losing some weight.

Nope know nothing bout that so here is a joke.

spacer

A man, whose level of drunkenness was bordering on the absurd, stood up to leave a bar and fell flat on his face.

"Maybe all I need is some fresh air," thought the man as he crawled outside.

He tried to stand up again, but fell face first into the mud.

"Blast it," he thought. "I'll just crawl home."

The next morning, his wife found him on the doorstep asleep.

"You went out drinking last night, didn't you?" she said.

"Uh, yes," he said sheepishly. "How did you know?"

"You left your wheelchair at the bar again."

Bridget I have seen the Green Mile and loved it. But my favorite is Weathering Heights. I do love the old classics. They did make wonderful movies unlike today.  Too much violence and sex and skin showing today. Nothing left to the imagination . I also loved the movie Somewhere in Time. It was on Mackinac Island and where I was raised . It always takes me home to the island when I watch it. Makes me homesick. Hugs, Dottiemaye
