Purify for Health
 
February comes from the Latin februarius, meaning "to purify." Spend a 
day thinking about what you eat. Go one entire day without eating junk 
food. Concentrate on raw fruits and vegetables, and drink lots of 
water. At the end of the day, sit before your altar with a yellow 
candle, and meditate on how you feel, identifying the strengths and 
weaknesses in your eating habits. As a reminder of a healthy 
lifestyle, create an amulet. Wrap a piece of either citrine quartz, 
carnelian, or pyrite in yellow cloth, along with six whole sunflower 
seeds or cloves, a pinch of dried basil, and a pinch of dried marigold 
petals. Smudge the amulet with incense, and anoint it with orange or 
lemon oil.
