BLESSED WITH A DAUGHTER

Sixteen years ago, on this very date,
I was blessed by my Goddess and by my fate.
Presented with a gift, of my first born child,
Whom I held tight in my arms, as I smiled.
Time was suspended, in this moment of bliss,
As my heart filled with love and I gave her a kiss.
We were at one with spirit and each other then,
A serene and blissful time, I hope we share again.
Nothing else mattered or entered my mind,
But the magick in the moment that I did find.
The years have passed, leaving memories placed,
Of precious experiences and lessons we faced.
We've laughed and we've cried, along the way,
Mother and daughter at war and at play.
Always forgiving and questing to know,
What's always been there, it's with love that we grow.
Know that forever, you are blessed and in my heart,
Remember this my dear one, when time comes to part.
I love you my precious daughter, of the moon's light,
One day you will know it, and all will feel right.
Until then, my child know that I am here,
To help you face whatever it is you fear.
For we are but one with the elements of earth,
The very same place where woman gives birth.
