Chandalar,
They are really bogged down and messed up.  I had waived my retiree healthcare and reverted back to being an active employee's spouse with our three kids.  They had sent a confirmation of the open enrollment choices, they were messed up.  I called them, reconfirmed our choices.  Christmas week we got new insurance cards, still messed up.  Called several times, disconnected, hold times of over 40 minutes, more disconnects...finally got thru and now their excuse is that we need to send verification of who we are, which we've done in the past as 2 of the kids are college students, but it was after they sent the verification packets to us.  No packets sent, but they say that they sent an e-mail to my husband at his UHC account and he was given a log in when he hired on with the company.  Well, when he hired on, the internet was not in use, there were no websites, and how was he to know that this is where you go to get info?  He's been out on workers' comp since May, no communication around this from his mgr or the company via snail mail.  I'm faxing off birth certificates for all 3 kids, college transcripts, tax return and my marriage license today to insure we have healthcare.   I would send an e-mail to Reed Roberts letting him know of your predicament as well as Mr. Mueller, cc Reed on the one you send to Ed.  Give 7800 a call and let Stan Wylie know of the problem.  I don't know if Michael Lynch has officially taken office yet, regardless Stan is a continuing officer and knows all the ropes.  Last calls to make are to the NLRB, as the company has failed to uphold their healthcare plan, and then to Mike Kriedler, WA State's Insurance Commissioner.  The office has an ombuds position that will take your concern/comments and begin working on them.  It's one big void of information and action on the part of the company.  Let us know how it goes.  I'll keep people posted on my progress as well.
