The Reid Family is said to be from Scotland

and the name is very common in Scotland like

"Smith"

Let me introduce you to George Reid

said to be the first Reid to arrive in Jamaica

He was married to Anne Recas (maybe Wilson)

They together owned 150 slaves in Non Pareil

(Sheffield ) road area. They had one son named

John Reid he married Eliza Walter and together

they had 10 children 6 boys and 4 girls.

If and when i receive any dates

i will post them for you.

I have come across some possible information

that George may have had more than one son

that John may not have been his only child.

Will keep you posted for sure.
