This section of the Historical timeline will talk about the Dehaney's

According to various Census from America.

From 1836-1945

most Dehaney immigrants to the U.S.A

came from Ireland, Jamaica and Jam Bwi.

In 1861- 1865

Only 1 Dehaney Union soldier and

0 Dehaney Confederate soldiers.

In 1862 the homestead act entitled most heads of family

to 160free acres of land. Over 250 Million was given to homesteaders.

In 1880 in the U.S.A the top occupations for Dehaney

was Keeping House, House servant and Fireman.

The 1900

In 1900, 20 Dehaney families with most living in New York

had an average household size of 5.1

In 1914-1918 World War 1 there was 11 Dehaney drafts

registrants with most registering in New York.

In 1920, Dehaney households of which 39% owned a home;

86% of the individuals were literate

In 1939-1945 World War 11 there was 1 Dehaney soldier joined the U.S. Army

Most Dehaney veterans are buried in Calverton National Cemetery

Most Dehaney Immigrants to the U.S. arrived in 1944.

The Robin Tuxford is the most common ship that Dehaney immigrants

sailed on. Today most Dehaney families live in Florida and New York.
