I'll write a poem about my sorrow
Then I won't have to cry tommorrow
I'll read it to myself and say
That was the past, this is today
And so I lie unto myself
And put that chapter on a shelf
And who's to say that it won't work
I certainly won't be the first
To catch a dream and wake again
To find I'm locked out in the rain
I fell like a star come crashing from heaven
One flash of light and then forever
How many years since I last saw
That one I traded my heart for
But I can no more love another
Than the crow can change it's color
