Peter and Lucy were once more back in the book it was a little while since they had seen each other. They had found themselves once more on the other side of the gate and were so excited to be with each other.It meant they were going on another adventure. They were on the platform and the book turned and opened at a page and both holding hands jumped into the book. They were back in Abrahams camp. It was nightfall so wondering what tommorow would bring both went to sleep. Next morning Lucy ran too find Peter she had news for him
"Were going on another journey Peter" said Lucy. "How can we be" said Peter arguing with Lucy he liked to be the one that knew everything."They have not taken the tents down or prepared to go anywhere". "but we are" said Lucy . Peter didn't know she had seen Abraham's two servants preparing a donkey for a long journey. She wasn't going to tell him either she let him argue. She was the one that knew this time she was right she had seen it . She had heard the voice talking to Abraham.Take your son your only son Issac and sacrifice him on the mountain.She had seen sacrifices before, but they were Lambs. Not Issac . He was their friend they had known him since he was little they had played with him. He was supposed to be as many as the grains of sand and the stars in the sky a nation. God promised that and God keeps his promises he did with the rainbow,
She took Peter to show him and he had to admit Lucy was right. Lucy could have told him what she had seen and heard it wasn't very nice of her to let him argue, but he forgave her and began to watch what was going on.
Abraham's servants were running round packing things on the donkey. Him and Lucy would follow.
Isaac was to go with him and the two servants and noone else from the camp. The donkey packed and everything ready. Abraham and Isaac and the two servants set off on the journey following close behind were Peter and Lucy.They went on and on .They were always going on Journeys and again they kept on going wondering how much further it would be. Three days they travelled. They stopped before they got to the place it had a funny name it was Moriah and Abraham collected some wood for an offering. Lucy and Peter looked at each other as he told his servants to stop there and the donkey Issac and Abraham went on together up the mountain. Followed by Lucy and Peter. They had the fire and the wood but Issac wanted to know where the offering was. God will provide it Abraham told him "Oh Peter it's Isaac it's Isaac thats the offering".Look he's tying him up he's laying him on the wood". and as he held the knife Lucy couldn't watch she ran away.Peter following her. They hid behind a rock and didn't want to look " Stop don't hurt the boy a voice said" Peter and Lucy looked to see where the voice came from and as they and Abraham looked for the voice there in the thicket was a ram. That was the sacrifice not Isaac. Abraham took the rope off Isaac and let him go and the ram was sacrificed instead. Peter and Lucy were so pleased God has kept his promise and that Isaac was safe.They were so happy they hugged each other. Abraham had a wonderful name for the place can you guess what he called it.I will tell you. He called it God will provide just the right name isn't it . Abraham and Isaac went together back down the mountain with Lucy and Peter to the servants and set off to a place called BeerSheba God was pleased with Abraham. He wanted to see if Abraham would trust him and do as he asked
Lucy said to Peter "sometimes he asks us to do things we don't want to do, but if we love him. we trust him and do as he asks like Abraham did".
"God always keeps his promises".
Sarah Abrahams wife and Issacs mother lived a long time and she died and God blessed Abraham and He asked one of his servants to go and get a wife for Isaac
