Lucy was very upset when Sarah died.She was very old and tired, both Peter and Lucy went with Abraham. He bought a special field with a cave and there Sarah was buried.
"We are going with Abraham's servant on another Journey another adventure I Don't know where" said Peter. Abraham has made his servant promise to go and find Isaac a wife from where his relations live not here, but he hasn't to take Abraham with him. I'm going with them said Peter Are you coming too Lucy.
We get to ride on a camel he is taking ten with him. It should be fun we can choose which one to ride on. Yes Lucy said excitedly I have never ridden a camel we usually have to walk Yes i'm coming.Hes taking presents with him, but there should be room for us to ride. It was good not to have to walk. "Abraham said if she wouldn't come back with him then the promise is no more.How will he choose which one Peter" said Lucy "I don't know, but God will show him where to go and which one". "Oh Peter I wonder what she will look like maybe it will be someone we know I can't wait to find out.The Journey took them to Haran and the camels stopped just outside the town at a well nearby. Abraham made the camels kneel so they could get down and have a look round.
It was near evening the women always come to fetch water near the evening, so excitedly they waited to see who it would be.
It wasRebekah that came, It's Abraham's brother's grandaughter what a surprise the servant is going to have.The servant said "If I say please give me drink and she says yes and I will also give the camels drink then she is the one that God has chosen". As Peter and Lucy watched she gave Abrahams servant drink and also she gave drink to the camels too. "She's the one Rebekah's the one" said Lucy "Ime so happy it is Rebekah".
"Look he's giving her bracelets and a gold nose ring and we can go and stay over night with the family they have enough straw for the camels and room for us all".They wanted her to stay for ten days, but the servant said he would have to return and she said she would go with him. The servant gave gifts of gold and silver to her Brother and to her Mother that Abraham had sent. and to Rebekah he gave clothes and Jewelry Lucy said she was beautiful.
The next morning they set off back to where Isaac was, but it took a little while for Rebekah and her servants had to get ready for the journey. Peter and Lucy couldn't wait to see if Isaac liked her , but they had to wait till all was packed everyone was on the camels and off they went.As they got closer Lucy said to Peter "look Isaac is in the field hes coming across he has seen us". Rebekah got down from the camel, but as soon as she knew who it was she put a veil over her face.
The servant couldn't wait to tell Abraham all that had happened and Peter and Lucy sat and listened in Amazement. They had been there and it was exciting put together. How strange it was,but Peter and Lucy agreed that strange things do happen when God is in control.
Isaac brought Rebekah into his Mother's tent and they were married.
Issac loved Rebekah very much.
Abraham was old and he died too and was buried in the cave with Sarah. Peter and Lucy missed them very much.
They had been with them a long time.and had many journeys.
They left the book and were once more outside their gates. They wondered if they would have anymore adventures
But you know and I know they will
Rebekah had two sons
Jacob and Esau
(But thats another story)
