Peter and Lucy were so happy the day was nearly over.Peter said they would soon be stopping for the night.Lucy was so glad he was right.They began to make camp and everyone began to settle down to sleep, but Peter and Lucy couldn't sleep. They went to find Jacob, something was happening and Lucy and Peter wanted to know what.They were tired, but so curious they couldn't sleep.They found Jacob he was asleep. "How is he sleeping with his head upon the rock" said Lucy." I don't know" said Peter "I wouldn't have been able to, but he is asleep".They were just going to walk away.they turned and looked and right above Jacob A bright light shone. It was his dream they were getting to watch his dream.The thoughts of sleep left them and they looked up amazed at the brightness of the light.The light went as far up as they could see right up into Heaven."Look "said Lucy in surprise as steps came down right to the ground,"Angels are going up and down" she bounced around in excitement, "Oh how bright it is, Oh Peter it is beautiful.They looked and right at the top was the beautiful man who had walked in the garden. The one that had made the earth. "He's talking to Jacob " said Peter. "He's giving him the land that he is sleeping on and He says hes going with him that he's going to watch over him till his promise is complete and he has brought him back to this land.Peter and Lucy watched, and then feeling very sleepy they too fell asleep.It had been a long exciting day.
When they awoke they ran to find Jacob. He remembered his dream. He was afraid because the Lord was there, but when he saw how wonderful the place was he placed the stone that he had slept with his head resting on the ground and made a vow that the place would be the house of God.
Peter and Lucy knew that God would keep his promise because he always did what he said. They knew Jacob would be safe and he would return.
Then when everything was packed off they went again not stopping till they came to a well in the middle of a field.Three flocks of sheep were already there. "Why don't they water them" asked Lucy but
One of the shepherds said they didn't take off the stone and water the sheep until all the flocks were there.Jacob asked the shepherds where they were from and they said "Haran". He asked if they knew Laban Nahor's grandson and they said they did. "They do they do " Lucy ran to tell Peter."They are from Haran that is where we went to bring Rebekah to Issac were nearly there Peter were nearly there." While they were talking Rachel brought her Father's sheep to the well.When Jacob saw her he ran and kissed her. He told her he was a part of her family Rebekah's son. He rolled the stone away from the well and watered the sheep. Rachel as soon as she knew who he was Ran to tell her Father that she had met Jacob at the well.
As soon as he heard he ran to where he was and brought him home. Peter and Lucy would have a place to stay for a while. A place they knew very well.No more journeys for a while. Peter and Lucy were so pleased. Jacob was safe with his family
