When Joseph was seventeen he helped his brothers with the sheep.His Father would send him to make sure everything was alright Peter went with him he liked helping with the sheep too. Joseph's brothers didnt do right. Lucy was saying and he's always telling his Father the bad things they had done thats why his Father sends him, "His brother's do not like him" said Peter. "He's their Father's Favourite because he said he was born when he was old and they were so Jealous when he made him a coat it has lot's of colors in it."
"Hes been dreaming too" Peter joined in. "He was telling his brothers about the two dreams he had, had and I was listening "said Peter'That he dreamed that one day they were all in the field tying up the corn in sheaves and how his sheaf stood up and theirs bowed to him. He made them so angry when he told them. "The second one he told his Father I heard him." said Lucy. It was about the sun and moon and eleven stars they all bowed down to him.His Father said "you mean we are all going to bow down to you." His Father will never forget that dream" said Lucy
One day his brother's were looking after the flocks and his Father sent him to see that everything was alright. Peter and Lucy went with him, but he couldnt find his brother's they had moved to another pasture and Joseph, Peter and Lucy wandered round and round looking for them "Look there's a man I wonder if he knows where they are.Joseph is asking him"said Peter He's showing us the way
Wait Lucy said Peter as they came in sight of his brother's
They look so angry and listen to what Benjamin is saying "just throw him down the hole we don't need to kill him." He said this so that he could come back and rescue him out of the hole later and take him back to his Father. Benjamin left they had put Joseph down the hole. Look Peter said a caravan of midianite traders with camels filled with spices and alsorts of things. His Brothers are selling him to the Ishmaelites while Benjamin is not there. "They cannot do that "said Lucy what are they going to tell their Father when he doesnt come back with them "But they are they are asking for 20 sheckles and they have been given it and hes sold. They are lifting him out of the hole . They are dipping his coat in the blood of a goat" said Peter. "They are going to tell his Father he had been attacked and eaten by a wild beast."
Peter and Lucy were there when they told their Father He just cried and wouldnt stop no matter how much they tried to comfort him he loved Joseph so much. "What a lie" said Peter to Lucy,How could they tell his Father that when they know he's fine they sold him."
Peter and Lucy went with the caravan to see what would happen to Joseph. The merchants took him to Egypt and sold him to Potipher one of Pharoh's officials the captain of the gaurd.
He did so well and he lived in the house with his master. His master liked him so much he put him in charge of the whole household.
"God is with him" said Lucy. "I heard Potipher say Joseph was blessed in everything."
Potipher's wife didn't like him, and one day when Joseph left his cloak in the house she told lies about him to Potipher and showed him the cloak and he was so angry he sent poor Joseph to prison, "but the Jailor likes him" said Lucy. "He has put him in charge of the prisoners."
One day the Chief cup bearer and the Chief baker had angered the King and Peter and Lucy watched as they were brought into prison
Joseph was put in charge of them. They had only been there a little while when Peter ran to Lucy all excited. "what's the matter Peter"said Lucy."I Have something to tell you. I heard the cupbearer and the chief Baker talking to Joseph, They have both had a dream and have noone to tell them what they mean.The dreams are nearly the same." Come on"said Lucy tell me about them.So they both sat on the wall outside the prison and Peter began to tell Lucy about the dreams. He said Joseph told them that God had the answer to the dreams. Lucy was getting impatient. "Peter! Peter!she said "Come on tell me about the dreams"said Lucy jumping up and down."Calm down Lucy and I will"said Peter. Lucy sat back down and Peter began to tellt her of the dreams.
