In the morning
Bobby opened his eyes and looked out of the window. "Wake up Mary." he called "The sun is shining."
Mary opened her eyes she ran to the window. "Look at Rover, hes laughing", Sure enough, their dog was laughing. His eyes were twinkling and his mouth was open in a friendly grin and he was wriggling with joy.
Then Bobby laughed too. For Rover was wagging his tail and jumping and calling, just as plainly as if he used words."I know what he is saying" Bobby told his sister. "Hes saying I'm laughing because I'm happy.
"The grass is happy too " Mary said
Bobby thought it was silly to say the grass was happy just because it was waving in the wind, but because he was feeling happy, he did not tell Mary she was silly. Instead he said " This is such a nice day we should be good all day.
"We will make some prayers about it" Mary decided.
"Yes let's" Bobby nodded. "I think God likes prayers in the morning. Then he knows we think about him the first thing when we get up.
"And He helps us all day long." Mary added.
So Bobby and Mary called their Mother to help them. They found some old prayers they liked and they made some new ones of their very own.
