Fathers
Fathers are a special breed,
There's little they don't know.
And, when you have a problem,
You know just where to go.
They listen first intently,
To what you have to say.
Then, they try to give the answer,
To help you find your way.
Even when you're grown and married,
And have children of your own.
When doubts or fears arise you'll find,
Their advice you've not outgrown.
You honor dad on his special day,
And that's all well and good.
As long as all the other days,
You honor him as you should.
So, tell your dad you love him,
Tell him now while he's still here.
For one day God will call him home,
Bringing many a sorrowful tear.
