For Those Who Walk With Him...
From Dr Skye
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy__ Rev. 3:4
The men and women who have the most to do have the greatest need of keeping God ever before them. When Satan presses his suggestions upon our minds, we may, if we cherish a "Thus saith the Lord," be drawn into a sacred pavilion of the Most High. His promises will be our safeguard. Amid all the confusion and rush of business, we will find a quiet resting place. If we place our trust in God. He will be our resting place.
Take God with you in every place. The door is open for every son and daughter of God. The Lord is never far from the soul who seeks Him. The reason so many of us are left to ourselves in places of temptation is because we do not set the Lord before us. If God be left out of sight, if our faith and communion with Him are broken, the soul is in positive danger. Integrity in Him becomes impossible.
The Lord is our only helper. Our only defense. He provided a promise that no soul that trusted entirely in Him would be overcome by His enemy. Christ is as much with His believeing ones when we are compelled to be associated in any sense with the world, as when we meet in His presence to worship Him. Think of this words as He spoke them: Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white railments; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name befire my Father, and before His angels." (Rev 3)
This promise was given to us while we are in connection with the world, subject to temptation and deceiving influences even those in so called 'good faith'. While we keep our minds upon Him who is our sun and our shield, the blackness and darkness that surround us will not leave one spot or stain upon our garments. We will walk with Christ. We will pray and believe and work to help bring the souls that are ready to perish back to him. Remembering that temptations and decptions will be constantly brought up by Satan sometimes dressed in trusting garments to spoil the work of God. But if we keep the way of the Lord and His trust, with humble, meek, and lowly hearts, heaven will rejoice and we will gain the victory in Him.
God bless
