I got a good laugh over the joke but then I began to think how true that is and how it can also apply to our Christian walk. We know  there are many things that smell bad in our lives and change is necessary.  But, we begin to make the changes ourselves and end up exchanging one problem for another and the smell remains.  Wisdom would be to respond to the Holy Spirit and let Him make the changes, filling us with the sweet savor of the Lord.
Oh,  and as for Washington,  the Lord knows how to clean all that up.  I will do my part and vote. He will make the necessary changes, I guarantee!

It's 7:45pm and I'm sitting here at my computer with not
a clue what to pour for Tea.  I spent this morning at an
awesome home meeting "under the spout where the
glory comes out."   And - as often happens when you come
out from under the spout - there was an attack on my emtions that got a few blows in even though I was ready
to stand and having done all to stand!  Maybe I'm the only one that has ever had this happen to them,  but -- well, here I am.  The only thing I know to do is pray.  Forgive me for using our Tea Time to pray for myself but perhaps some of you are where I am right now and we could stand with each other.
