Hi!  The families I am researching are the ELIAS S JOHNSTON family, the ANTHONY SCOTT family, the JACOB CROSS family, the BARNES family, and the SWIFT family.

 

I have 2 links to the CROSS family, LUCINDA CROSS (married WILLIAM C SCOTT) and MARGARET CROSS (married ELIAS S JOHNSTON).  From what I saw in the census records, it is possible that Margaret and Lucinda were sisters.  I came to this conclusion based on the JB Cross family having a Margaret and Lucinda.  The age difference between the 2 of them would match the timing of them getting married.

 

My gggrandfather was James Freeman Johnston.  He was married to Mary Jane Scott, granddaughter of Anthony and Lucinda Barnes Scott.  Mary Jane's father was William C Scott.  Mary Jane's sister, Arena, married James' brother, George.

 

Mary Jane and James moved to Kansas. 

 

I have confused myself with this......I only hope that y'all can figure out what I am trying to say. (LOL)
