Need help in finding a connection with Bracket Davidson and James Monroe Davidson. James Monroe went to Dallas county Mo. about 1854 from Hickman Co, TN with a brother who went back to Tn and then James Monroe went to Ark and became the Judge in Boone Co. is this Bracket Davidson related to James Monroe and if he is can you tell me how he is related. appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks
Nancy(Davidson)Frye

I have a Brackett Davidson/Davison who marrieda Delilah Hardison.  They had a daughter Lucretia who married Durrett Hubbard Barclay on April 15, 1941 in Polk County, Missouri.  Lucretia was born July 23, 1823 in Flat Creek, TN and died February 25, 1904 in Webster County, Missouri.  Both her and her husband are buried in Atteberry Shed Cemetery, Dallas County, Missouri.  They had 11 children.  I don't know if this is the same Brackett that you were looking for, if not I do have the 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880 Census.  I also have all the Cemetery Books, and some of the marriage books, and other Dallas County Books.  I would be glad to do some lookups for you.

Hi Billy, thanks for responding so fast. this is the same Bracket Davidson I was asking about. I am sure there is a connection some way to him and My g-g-grandfather James Monroe Davidson.  James M. was in Boone county Arkansas in 1859 as he has a daughter born there at that time. he again went to Dalles Co Mo as he had a daughter born there in 1865 then back to Boone Co, in 1870. family say that James M. and a brother William Ira Davidson went to Dallas Co in 1854 from Hickman Co.TN and the brother William didn't like Mo so he went back to Hickman Co., Tn and James went to Boone Co., Ar. I have been unable to find any records on James M .being there also no records of his daughter being born there. she was Josephine Eveline Davidson b. 21 sept 1865. what census records I could find did not show James M. Davidson . I think the reason that James M. and William went to Dallas co was because they had some family already living there. wasn't Bracket Davidson from the same area of Hickman Co., Tn

we have yet to find who James M. father was its a mystery to all of us. his mother was Sarah Davidson before she married a Davidson, she born 1801 N.C.? her father is suppose to be a Daniel Davidson. he is a mystery also. so thought that if I could trace who they went to Dallas Co., to see and if they are related then I may beable to trace back and find James M. father. if you can look and see if he is on any of the Dallas co census I would appreciate it. not sure as to how long James M. and brother stayed in Dallas Co. also not sure as to why he went back to Dallas Co, in 1865 and had a daughter in less he had some family living there and went for a visit.  I have found that most of the Davidson's in and around the Hickman Co., TN area are related.

Thanks
Nancy
