Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to re-connect with my cousins again!  My 2x great grandfather was Henry Foster Evans and his wife was Lavina "Vinnie" Null Evans.  I found a cousin by the name of Donnie Irene Evans Shewey, who passed away several years ago, but really haven't pursued the Evans line all that much since then.  I know that Henry Foster's father was a John S. Evans and was from Tennessee or South Carolina and that they came to Dallas County around 1840.  I am trying to see if anyone has any further information back to where they came from.  I have clues that they had sold property as I have a transcription from a Chattanooga(?) newspaper but do not know anything additional.  I was told by Donnie Irene that it was rummored that the family immigrated from Ireland.  Any information would be appreciated.

My family goes as follows:

Henry Foster Evans
     Samuel R. Evans
          Henry Edward (Ed) Evans
               Gene E. Evans

Don,

I reviewed your posting on website regarding Henry Evans who married Catherine Foster....The last child you listed was for this couple was Mark B. Evans who was born abt 1828 in Arkansas - I believe this is my Mark B. Evans who married Sarah Catherine Russell on 03 Jun 1847 in Missouri....their children were:

Nancy
Christiana Miriam m. George Phillips (my gg grandparents)
Harriet C.
Sarah Elizabeth
Mary Lavina
William B.
Henry F.
Joseph Green
Amanda
Clarissa
Mary S.

Can you tell guide me in the proper direction and let me know how you connected Henry & Catherine up with the their children.....do you have anything or can you direct me where to get any data that will assist in confirming that my Mark B is the son of Henry & Catherine? HELP....

Thanks

Joanna
