I was at the Dallas Co. Hist Soc last week & came across some info on Moses G. Bennett. I remembered someone wanting info on him so I wrote it down. I got it out of the Bennett file they have. 

 

Moses Griffith Bennett b 4-9-1813 N. C., left N. C. at 10 years old with parents to Wilson Co, Tn. until 1834. Married Sarah Wollard of Murry Co, Tn. Moved to Dallas Co 1837. Settled on farm where N J Wollard now lives.

They also have an orginal letter written by Moses to family during the civil war. Plus the oath signed by his father, AMC Bennett orginal documents & other family records. Hope this helps you. debi
