I'm Debbie Jackson married to Andrew L. Jackson..( ya somewhere we are connected to the President Family..just not sure how yet)

It looks like our kin C.(Christopher)W.B. Jackson, and Harriett E. Jackson, and all their youngun's , (and there were LOTS of them) were in Benton Township, and Grant Township so far.

I also have a couple other surnames in the mix, but not quite sure yet, where they all fall in.

Rodelander or Roadlander,Stewart, Norris, Kirk, and Cranfill.

I just got here, and would love to know who else is in the Dallas County Club ,and who and what your looking for.

Who knows maybe we can help each other.

Have A Great Day,

Happy Hunting

Hi Ladynic

I have two of your surnames in my Taney Co Bunch....Did your Jennings settle in Taney Co. Mo..? I have Jennings married to Rev TJ Hicks family.....

This one is a long shot so the best way to ask is do you have Abram in your Rowden database? I would also like to know the names of the people in your Rowden photo.

The early times in Taney were terrible, according to Turnbo documents...My gg grandmother Perlina Robbins Hutchings was widowed as many as three times....
Her marriage to Hutchings she had 5 known issues [kids] to Dobbs {one kid}
and she was always known to our family as Pliney Rowden or Rowdon...I have a photo of her stone ...She is buried in Bethel Cemetery in Taney Co..that is around Brown Branch and McClurg.....

I am VERY INTERESTED IN your names if known in the Rowden photo or even the history of the Rowdens.......
Thank you...

Deb
I am basically a Taney Co. researcher for Thomas Jefferson Hicks family ....Seven brothers and sisters came to Taney in 1858 from Ga. and Tn...One of my gg grandfather's [Hicks] sisters married George Washington Jackson. Do you have Martha Jane Hicks in your database? This may be farther back than what you are looking for ..They came to Taney in 1868 and had .a total of 16 kids...Lots of kids and I am positive that they settled all over the Ozarks area in the next generation.....If you mention a date perhaps I can find a specific Jackson..

I also have zerox  black and white photo of  Martha Jane wife of  Jackson.. If you are in this family, you will need all the help that you can get........I also need to fill in some blank lines for the Jackson  family...

I have Stewarts in Dent and Shannon Co.  Some of them stopped for a time in Taney Co.

I also have a Lydia L. C. (maybe Lightfoot) Jackson who married Alexander Sherrell in Iron Co., MO.

I only have one Dallas County name:  Melvin Hoppins.  He was born in Buffalo, Dallas, MO Jan. 16, 1861, but lived most of his life and died in Carroll County AR.  I have only been a member of the group a short time.

Dawn (BURKE) CALLAHAN , Cherryville Missouri, USA....I am married to Delbert Callahan and I am searching for my grandfathers' family, Joe Allen BURKE, Jim (James) & Lula (ISOM) Burke. They were around and about in the crawford county area, maybe even in the dent or phelps county. My grandfather never spoke of his family so I am at a stump here....

Hello:  I'm new to this Site as well, but thought this must be the place to list surnames, so....  My name is Raylene.  I am in McDonald Co., MO.  It appears several of you have ancestors that passed through Dallas County and settled in Taney.  My family passed through as well, settling in McDonald Co.

I'm curious to know during what time frame your Taney Co. people migrated?  From what I've learned about Dallas County, the war was greusome there.  After several of my family members were murdered there, they moved to Texas, then came back to the area after the war.  I know the courthouse at Dallas County burned three times.  Does anyone know if ANY records survived?

The surnames I'm researching in Dallas County (at least direct lines) are Line, Tucker and Marsh.  They were all settled in the Louisburg area I think.

Thanks, Raylene

I wonder if Melvin Hoppins' father, my unknown Hoppins, died in the Civil War.  Haven't figured out  how to go about figuring that out yet.

I am interested in your Randleman line. My gg grandparents are living with J and Rebeccah Randleman Brundridge in 1870. Their names are John and Missouri McCune. I am not sure of Missouris last name. I am curious if you have any info on either of them, by chance were the Randlemans related to the McCunes or Russells?
Thanks a bunch
Angie
