Monroe Hill

 Monroe Hill, a life long resident of Dallas County, died April 21 at 11:50 o'clock at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Claud Payne, where he had made his home the past three years.

 Monroe Hill was born january 17, 1858, in DallasCounty, Mo., and was married to Mary E. Smith September 25, 1881.  He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church since early manhood.

 His wife and two children, a son and daughter, preceded him in death and he is survived b two daughters and a son; Mrs. Linnie Strickland of Elkland, Mrs. ida Bradley of Shirley, Ark., and W.A. Hill of Long Lane, and many other relatives and friends.

 Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lester Slack at the Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 2:00 p..  Burial was in Hill cemetery under direction of L. B. Jones.
