James Thomas Haney was born in Tennessee, January 28, 1867, and departed this life June 28, 1926.  He was 59 years, 5 months old.  He was married to Rachel Levina Phillips August 19, 1893, to this union was born 4 children.  They are, William T. Haney of Long Lane, George M. Haney of Long Lane, Bessie L. Jasper of Long Lane and Pearl F. Junkins of Long Lane.
     He gave his heart to God several years ago and lived a christian life, til God called him home.
     Funeral services were at Cedar Ridge church of which he was a member and was conducted by Henry Swigart, at which place his body was laid to rest to wait the resurrection.
