Minnie L. Junkins Minnie Lucertia Junkins, daughter of Thomas J. and Catherine E. Junkins, was born July 5, 1889 near Long Lane, MO, where she spent her entire life. She departed this life January 14, 1968 at the Happy Haven Rest Home south of Buffalo. At the time of her death she was 78 years, six months and 19 days.
Minnie is the last of a family of eleven children. Her father, mother, seven sisters and three brothers, preceded her in death.
Aunt Min as she was known by everyone, was always ready to help her friends in sickness and in any other way she could.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends and will be sadly missed by everyone.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 27, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. in the Benton Branch Church with the Rev. Leonard Miller officiating. Music was by the Windyville Choir who sang, "Going Down The Valley", "We Shall Meet Some Day," and "Does Jesus Care." Escorts were: John Junkins, Frank Junkins, Ira Junkins, Lloyd Scurlock, Delmar Dugan and Everett Dugan. Interment was in the Benton Branch Cemetery under the direction of the Montgomery Funeral Home of Buffalo. |
