Hello all! I am searching for a Joseph Thomas Russell!  He was supposedly born in Dallas County, 1 December 1876.  His parents were James Ballengee Russell and Susan Jane Speer Russell. They had 11 children, of which Joseph was #3. I have not been able to find anything substansiating this claim. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.   Thanx, Jetz

There was a James Russel b. abt 1854 in Dallas county he was the son of Gilbert and Elizabeth Russel. He was a twin to Mary J. the other siblings were Hannah, Elizabeth, Missouri, I have to find the others, somewhere I have the census info on them. If you think this family could be the family of your James you can email me direct at [email protected] . I dont have a lot of info on them except I am almost positve that ths Missouri is my gg grandmother.

Jetz

Found the family on the 1880 census living in Clark Township, Cole County,
Missouri:

James B Russell, 31
Susan, 21
Melinda, 7
Serling R, 5
Joseph T, 3
Oscar, 1

About a dozen other Russells living in the same town, so possibly other
family members. Found all this quite easily on Ancestry.com.

My gggrandmother was the daughter of Gilbert Russell And Mary Sloan. Her name was Elizabeth Russell Married John C Speer in 1886 . I would love to find more info on any of the siblings Missouri, Hannah, Mary, James, Agnes, Martha Adaline, Elizabeth, Silas, or Simeon. I found Gilbert probate records a few months ago (in Dallas County historical Society)showing he died On Feb 19th 1882 In Dallas County Mo at his home. Kindof strange a few weeks earlier George and Samuel  Lawrence stopped by Gilbert's ( Russell)  house  And George Lawrence died at his home of small pox also said A child of Mr. Russell has died .( ????) This article was in Boliver Herald Dated 1882  Feb. 9th 1882.    Would love to find out more info about my Russell's.
