Hi there,
My husbands pat GF, SPEED, Ernest Parker b: 14 Apr 1883 in Kabul (Cabool), Dallas COunty, MO m: PRESTON, Mabel Ann between 1911 - 1918 in MO, (either Dallas county or Sullivan County), they had to re-marry when they got to Washington/Oregon as they were told that all records were destroyed in a fire. They remarried in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington.
Would you please look in the Marriage Index for MO and see if you can find them?
Thanks,
Jean

If you are referring to Ernest Johnson, his parents were Washington I Johnson and Jennie J Manley.

Gilbert Russell and Phebe Fitzpatrick marriage is recorded in Book A, page 79, married by J. P. Alsup, Minister of the Gospel, 20 March 1871.
Gilbert Russell and Huldah Watson marriage is recorded in Book 3 & 4, page 7, married at John S. Smith's with T.M.C. Bennett and John Smith as witnesses by O. Wood, Justice of the Peace.
Doubt that these are recorded in Missouri Marriages Book, 1851-1900, very few marriages are.  County records are best if they exist.

His father was SPEED, Henry Swan b: abt 1853 Scotland, do not have anything on his mother, at this time. Unfortunately the only ones that do know have passed away within the past year (3 of Ernest & Mabel's children). I am currently going thru a household of photo's, records, notes from dad so I may find more there. Dad was kicked out of his home when he was 12 years because he wasn't able to finish all of his chores in time (from what he and other family members have told me). So due to this broken link, I've got a brick wall that needs to me torn down.

Oops, I must have mis-read the date and saw 1920 instead of 1900.
