My McDowell family lived in the Venango and Urbana areas.
Other names in the family tree include Reser, Coleman and Turner.
I hope to find some of the family still in the area or some who have moved on. My grandfather, James, migrated west by wagon train with his mother, Mary Anne Reser-McDowell, and father, Patrick McDowell and brothers and sisters. They followed the Oregon Trail to Walla Walla, WA and traveled by train to Spokane, WA.
