Services for Hassie B. Marley were held Feb. 26 in Colonial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Long officiating.  Burial was in Lone Rock Cemetery.

 

Hassie, daughter of William Abraham and Josephine (Dame) Phillips, was born Nov. 6, 1893 in Dallas County and died Feb. 24, 1981 in Lebanon Care Center.

 

June 8, 1910, she was married to William Calvin Marley, who preceded her in death Sept. 5, 1971.  A daughter, Lavona Scott, died in 1964.

 

As a child, Hassie professed her faith in Christ.  In the early 1960's she rededicated her life and was baptized, uniting with the Windyville Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include six sons, Wallace, Kennith, Lavon and Gilbert all of Lebanon, Earnie of Kansas City and Leland of Augusta Kansas; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Dismang and Mrs. Geneva Dibbon of Buffalo, 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
