Oh, how I long for the time when flowers are in bloom and for the time when all the sun‘s rays zoom.
When all of the winter’s slush and snow are banned, and when the birds can try their hand.
I long for a time when the grayness of winter disappears, and then the birds?sweet song, I hear.
The time for these things are just around the corner, I know, but for now, the chilly winds continue to grow.
The leaves on the trees slowly flutter to the ground, not making even the faintest whisper of a sound.
The snow blankets the frozen earth, making people long for the next season’s birth.
But alas, the cold winter days are not yet through, but do not despair, for the sky will soon be blue.
So until the winter days have past, we’ll have to wait out the winter, as we have winters past.

Junkins Family
by Billy Burgess Thomas J. Junkins, son of Capt. Thomas Junkins and Mary Curtis, was born January 5, 1837 in York, Maine. At a young age Thomas left main because he didn’t get along with his stepmother, Mary Baston. Thomas fought in the Civil War out of Kansas as a sharpshooter. It has been told that he fought in the Battle of Pea Ridge in Arkansas. He had told his family many stories of having to scrounge around for any type of food, berries or roots and anything to keep from starving to death. After the Civil War he found his way to the Dallas County, Missouri area. When he was settled, he returned to Maine to retrieve his sisters. On January 21, 1868, Thomas married Catherine Elizabeth Evans, daughter of Henry and Mary Evans, in Dallas County, Missouri. She was born January 3, 1849 in Dallas County, Missouri. To this union they had eight daughters and three sons. Thomas J. Junkins died February 28, 1905 in Dallas County, Missouri. He was buried in Benton Branch Cemetery. Catherine died April 13, 1925 in Dallas County, Missouri. She was also buried in Benton Branch Cemetery.

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/howto/w2w/w2welcom.htm National Center for Health Statistics is the name of this site. This site contains information on how to get any birth certificate, death certificate license or divorce in any state. It has a wealth of information.
http://www.indo.com/distance/ This looks strange when you get to the site, however, it well tell you distances between two places in the world. As well as longitude and latitude, it also provides a map showing both places. I have used it many times and been very happy with my results.
