Charles Lester Paylor, son of John F. and Amelia Frances Paylor,was born January 6, 1884 and passed away April 6, 1961 at the age of 77 years and 2 months.  He was united in marriage to Margrette Isabelle Williams February 24, 1914 and to this union five Daughters and two sons were born . One son preceded him in death (1 son, Charles Paylor died after returning from WW II  June 17, 1946     (Heart Attack while fishing )).

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife,Margrette Isabelle and Daughters Nada Alice Sutton, Janie Frances Tedlock, of Urbana, Mo. Nell Oletta Bonner of Buffalo, Mo. Wanda Elizabeth Baker of Oxnard, Ca. and Verda Belle Burton of Nampa, Idaho and  1 son  John H. Paylor of Fillmore, Ca. 22 grand children 10 great grand children and (see Edit below) Two Brothers Emery and Harve of Walla Walla Washington

2003 Edit:  My grandmother's maiden name was Grace Elizabeth Paylor.born in Plad Mo. Her parents were John Paylor and Amelia Francis Bryon. Amelia’s Parents were Benjimen Byron and Cleety Gray Bolin (Indian)
Grace was born in Plad, Missouri in 1902.
She had 5 brothers. 1. Harvey b. 1882  2. Charles Lester b.1884 d. 4-6-1961 3. Huld b. 1886 4. I.A. Paylor b. 1891 5. Roy A. Paylor b.1894 6. Emery A. Paylor b. 7. Grace Elizabeth Paylor b. 1902 Grand daughter is June Owens E-mail:  [email protected]

A host of relatives and friends. He was a faithful companion and loving father, a good friend and neighbor Funeral services were held Sunday April 9, 1961 at Vaughan Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E.E. Templeton officiating. Burial in Mission Ridge cemetery under the direction on the Vaughan Funeral Home Urbana, Mo.

Margarete Isabelle Paylor, Daughter of John Alfred and Nancy (Cowan) Williams was born December 4, 1889, in Hickory County, Missouri. And passed away in St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Mo. On Aug. 5, 1961 at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 1 day. On Feb. 24, 1913 she was united in marriage to Charles Lester Paylor, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1961. To this union Seven children were born              ( sons Charles, John, dau. Nada, Jane, Nell, Wanda, Verda)  22 grand children 11 great grand children

4 Sisters Mrs. Lizzie (Williams) Jones of Wheatland,  Mo.  Mrs. Mollie (Williams) Jones of Halfway, Mo. Mrs. Osa (Williams) Meadows of Ojai, California  and Mrs. Mildred (Williams) Campbell of Flemington, Mo.

2 Brothers  Mr. Henry Williams of Rondo, Mo. And Mr. Huston Williams of Wheatland, Mo.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, August 8, 1961 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mission Ridge Babtist Church with Rev. Coy Dickey officiating  with the burial in the church cemetery under the direction of the Vaughan Funeral Home of Urbana,  Mo.

( NOTE:  two spellings for  Margarete, Margrette, in obits. A third in my Mothers Bible of Margarette Dated at her death in 1961) Ref: Bill Baker  01/05/2004
