Mrs. Henry Strickland
 
 Mrs. Julia Ellen Strickland was born in Dallas County, Mo., February 2, 1883 and died at her home near Buffalo, March 6, 1930, age 47 years, 1 month and four days.
 She was the youngest daughter of Aaron and Betsy Ann Smith and one of a family of seven children, three of who survive her.
 She was married to Henry Strickland, who survives her, Mary 8, 1907.
 Practically all of her life was spent in the county and vicinity of her birth.  She made many friend and proven herslef a good neighbor and friend, always ready to render aid and assistance to any one in need.
 She had been seriously afficted for many months but was patient in her sufferings and considerate of those who administered to her.
 She leaves her companion, two sisters, Mrs. Jim Evans and Mrs. Sarah Hill, both of Charity; one brother, Henry Smith of Sarcoxic, Missouri, and many other relatives and friends to mourn her departure.
 Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Buffalo, conducted by Rev. J. E. Jackson, Sunday, March 9, and burial was made in Buffalo Cemetery under direction of L. B. Jones.
