Arminda Elizabeth Slack
 
Arminda Elizabeth Slack, daughter of J.D. and Livona Slack was born near Long Lane, Mo. September 18, 1877 and departed this life at her home in Long Lane at 6:00 p.m., September 13, 1951 being at the time of departure 73 years, 11 months and 26 days.
 She was united in marriage to G.B. Williams, November 19, 1893 and to this union 3 sons, and 7 daughters were born.  One daughter, Ruby, died at the age of 10 months.
 Surviving is her companion, G.B. Williams and the following children: Mrs. Leta Barclay, Buffalo, Mo., Mrs. May Wing, Emporia, Kan., Mr. Frank Williams, Emporia, Kan., Mr. Ray Williams, Buffalo, Mo., Mr. Clyde Williams, Emporia, Kan., Mrs. Flora Smith, Long Lane, Mo., Mrs. Enola Belle Place, Pendleton, Ore., Mrs. Ruth Scott, St. Louis, Mo., and 6 brothers and 2 sisters: W.A. Slack, Emporia, Kan., J.A. Slack, Buffalo, Mo., L.M. Slack, Council Grove, Kan., J.W. Slack, Emporia, Kan., I.A. Slack, Long Lane, Mo., C.E. Slack, Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Myrtle Flinn, Warrenton, Ore., Mrs. Belle Shattuck, Pittburg, Kan., 30 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
 She was converted in early life and united with the Free Will Baptist church at Mt. Zion meat Long Lane and lived a faithful Christian until the end.
 She had been bedfast since February 3, 1949 and has borne her suffering with great patience and kindness and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
 Funeral services were conducted at the Long Lane Christian church, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 1951 by Rev. George Sturdevant and the interment followed in Oak Lawn cemetery under direction of Jones and Son.
