Mrs. Lou Ellen Slack
 
 Mrs. Lou Ellen Slack, daughter of the late David was born on May 17, 1887, near Pleasant Hope, Missouri, and departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 1974, in the Chastain's Home after a long illness.  She was at the time of her passing, 87 years, and 8 days of age.
 She was the widow of the late Lewis Slack and a member of the Buffalo Christian Church.
 She leaves in her passing six sons: Claude, Herbert and Dale, all of Buffalo, Glendon, Ivanhoe, Calif., Lendol and Almon, both of Marshall, Mo.; three daughters: Mrs. Kenneth Spence, Buffalo, Mrs. Anna Dean, Santa Paula, Calif., and Mrs. Norma Shipp, Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother Gene Bradley, Buffalo; 31 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren adn eight great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, in the Buffalo Christian Church with the Rev. Harold T. Mayes officiating.  Interment was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Cantlon Funeral Home.
