 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today (Wednesday), in the Montgomery-Viets Chapel with the Rev. Russell Adams officiating.  Recorded selections of "Daddy’s Hands," "Amazing Grace," and "How Great Thou Art" were played.  Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
 Escorts will be given by Kevin Inskeep, Thomas Loftridge, Jeffery Slack, Michael Slack, Mitchell Slack, Randall  Slack and Kip Sloan.
 Lendol Morris Slack was born June 19, 1914, in Dallas County, son of Lewis A. and Lou Ellen (Bradley) Slack.  He died Sept. 2, 2001, at his home north of Buffalo following a long illness.
 He was united in marriage with Faye Irene Rambo on Nov. 12, 1938, and to this union six chidren were born.
 He lived a number of years in Saline County and was retired from Banquet Foods where he was a food processor.  He was a member of the Pittsburg Baptist Church.  He farmed for many years and loved camping and fishing.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Tommy; three sisters: Norma Lee, Annie and Margie; and three brothers: Herbert, Glendon and Dale.
 Survivors include his wife, Faye; three sons: Lendol Derlad Slack, Malta Bend, Dennis Harold Slack, Kansas City, and Richard Lynn Slack, Bolivar; two daughters: Joyce Faye Scott of Olathe, Kan., and Patricia Sue Templeton, Buffalo; two brothers: Claud Slack, Buffalo, and Almon Slack, Hemitage; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
