Mrs. Elizabeth Routh Williams
Mrs. Elizabeth Routh Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Routh, was born in Dallas County near Chanty Nov. 16, 1878 and departed this life from her home in Buffalo Feb. 3, 1939 at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 17 days.
She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of her birth and lived all of her life in Dallas County, except about five years spent in Springfield, MO.
In July 1898, she was unite in marriage to Geo. W. Williams. For forty years they waked life’s way together. To them were born three children, all of whom survive and all were at her bedside when life departed. They are Claud, of Buffalo, Ralph and Herbert of Kansas City, Mo.
She professed faith in Christ in the year 1900 and united with Chanity Baptist Church, later she united with First Baptist Church, where she remained a member.
She leaves t mourn her departure her husband, the above named children, one grandson, George Richard Williams, 8 brothers, John of Roundup, Mont., Charley, of Los Angles, Calif., Jake, of Kingman, Kansas, James, of Los Angles, Calif., Bert, of Louisburg, Mo., Walter, of Carthage, Mo., Howard, of Charity, Mo.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ida Diehl, of Ekland, Mo., Mrs. Alma Baker, and Mrs. Elsie Agerter, of Charity, Mo.; her stepmother, Mrs. F.M. Routh, of Charity, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.K. Jackson, assisted by Rev. E.H. Michalkowasky Sunday, Feb. 5, 1939, at the First Baptist Church. Interment in Oak Lawn cemetery under direction of L. B. Jones.
