G.B.M. Williams

 G. B.M. Williams was born July 12th, 1858, and died Feb. 14th, 1937, being at the time of his death 79 years, 7 months and 2 days old.  He was united in marriage to Melissa Jane Skaggs.  To this union 3 children were born, 3 of them, Laura, Billie and Ruthie preceded him in death.
His companion too, preceded him in death Nov. 20, 1935.  He was married to Mary Sharp April 5, 1936.  He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, R.H. Williams, of Elkland, 5 children, John T., of Everett, Washington, Chas. H, of Buffalo, Roy L., of Holyoke, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Lizzle Dowell, of La Habra, Calif., Mrs. Esther Jones, of Seminole, OK, 26 grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
He was converted at an early age and united with the Mt. Pleasant church where he remained a faithful member until his death.  He was such a devoted Christian and always looked to God to help him in everything.
"Uncle Mitch" as he was known, was love by everyone who knew him.  He always had a smile for everyone and through out all his live was cheerful.  Many hearts will be saddened at his passing.  He has gone to meet his Savior in Heaven.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Church Feb. 15, conducted by Rev. Jackson and the body was led to rest in the cemetery there under direction of L. B. Jones.
