Mabel R. Williams

 Funeral services for Mabel R. Williams were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, in the Montgomery-Viets Chapel with the Rev. Paul Bliss officiating.  Music was by Vernon, Jo Ann and Monty Viets who sang "We Shall Gather At the River" and "The Old Rugged Cross."  Casketbearers werer J.R. Jasper, Lynn Jasper, Norman Jasper, Donnie Williams, Lonnie Williams, and Ronald Williams.  Honorary escorts were Doug Douthitt, Gary Garrison, Larry Garrison, Mark Jasper, Stephen Jasper, Frant Routt, Jimmy Routt, Richard Swigert, Jackie Williams, Richard Swigert, Jackie Williams, Jesse Williams, Vic Williams and Wayne Williams.  Interment was in the Hill Cemetery under direction of the Montomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
 Mabel Ruth Williams was born September , 1908 at Hooker, Okla., the daughter of Charlie and Mary (Atkinson) Betty, she died October 5, 1990 at her home near Buffalo at the age of 82 years and 26 days.
 On June 9, 1924, she was united in marriage with Bert Ray Williams and 10 children were born of this union.  One son, Jerrid, died in infancy.
 She is survived by three sons; Herbert of Owensboro, Ken.; Jackie of Lamonte and Junior of Buffalo; six daughters; Frances Swigert, Marshall; Thelma Douthitt, Davenport, Iowa; Chloree Garrison, Independence; Cecile Routt, Perkins, Okla; Georgia Williams, Sedalia adn Mary Jasper, Bolivar, 32 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; five step granchildred and one step-great-grandchild.
 Her husband preceded her in death on April 17, 1989.
