I have an acute respect for things that will kill me, but phobias or fears -- NAW -- "That which does not kill you makes you stronger." Nietsche "Yea, tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am the meanest S.O.B. in the valley." United States Marine Corps. Wolfie |

My bed room -- big ole monstrous TV that I never watch -- big ole honkin stereo that can be heard a block away when I'm in the mood -- two computers -- just picked up a new Dell PC yesterday -- dunno why -- just cause -- lots of books -- pics of wolves and of the good stuff from my natural instincts -- a picture from long ago and far away of someone I loved -- pics of my ex and my kids --- just lots of stuff -- but if you walked through the whole house and was asked to pick my room -- you'd know which was mine -- You might also get a clue from the authentic pipestone pipe decorated with red and black ribbon and three bald eagle feathers. Yes, I have the legal right to have them so don't get excited. The Owls wing Fan and the Dream Catchers might give ya a clue to. The other room that I call mine is the kitchen. Whether I'm whippin up lasagna or some oils or incences -- the kitchen is mine. Wolfie |

The Master Bedroom is my favorite...I guess because it is personalized with my things. My husband says he doesn't even feel like it is his room, too. My book, crystals, alter, alter tools, tarot boxes, computer desk and tv are in the Master Bedroom plus my manifesting boards. Wolfie, I bet you and my husband would get along well. He is part Chipawa (sp?) and our living room and dining room are done in South West tones and we have mandellas, weaved baskets and dream catchers. They cover all the walls and the dream catchers hang from the ceiling. We have collected them on our travels through the US. My husband has various Indian tools, too. A pipe made of clay wrapped in rabbit fur and leather. He also has a mandella that has a boars skull and jawls. Freaks me out, but he likes it. He also has a "Rain Dancing" stick. It has a small skull at the end of it but I don't know what animal. I think it may be possum. In Arizona, I worked at the Enlightment Center and they offered sweat lodges. For about $250, you stayed at a lodge close to the Indian Reservation and then an elder would come and take you to sweat lodge (not sure if it was an actual teepee, didn't think to ask!). I think you attended 2 ceremonies and an additional one for extra money, but there was something special about it. I think it was with the medicine man and he never left the reservation and you had to hike up to him. Before you could attend the sweating ceremony you had to barter (trade) with him. I could be slightly wrong on this, though. I tried to get my husband to go. They offered it at least 4 times while we were in AZ, but he would never take the time off. I write this because I read in one of the emails you sent, you mentioned going to one. Hugs, |

I try to sweat at least once a month if not more -- it has a way of speaking to my spirit and allowing me to reconcile with the world around me. I don't know about charging people -- but then I'm part blood, so I wouldn't be charged anyway -- It varies from tribe to tribe -- but most of the lodges I have been in were made of a birch frame with numerous animal skins covering it -- bison, elk, moose, any large animal. In alaska -- they use things like walrus, seal, and even whale if they find one -- the hides smoke with each sweat and they last forever. Wolfie |

My 2nd bedroom, which is my office/den... It has my desk (own a laptop too which I rarely use!), my huge bookcase that my lover made me; filled with all my books, tarot cards, crystalz, cds, pictures, candles... It has a big bay window where I have a view of my mountain and it also houses my dragon collection. I have two massive aloe plants in there too. It's truly my space... |
