*Properties of Thyme: *
Thyme can guard against nightmares, and is a common ingredient in dream pillows
for this purpose. It is a very cleansing herb, and makes an excellent herbal
bath for use before ritual, especially when blended with marjoram.

Thyme is also used in rituals for courage or confidence. The herb is sometimes
also associated with love, and was used in Medieval times by ladies to discover
who their true love was. Folklore says that you should wear a sprig of fresh
thyme when attending a funeral, to protect yourself from the sadness and grief
of others. The ancient Greeks used to burn thyme as a pleasant smelling incense,
that they felt was invigorating.
