THE GLITTERING CROWN
Round and round the glittering crown
Went tumbling through the air...
A long, long way down it tumbled
And was caught by a ladye fair,
O, a ladye with long brown hair.
She hid it in her cloak of blue,
The ladye with such long hair
And no one knew where it had gone,

Summer has always been a season of Magic. Perhaps it is because Mother Earth
is working her Magic all around us with the loving warmth of Grandfather
Sun. Flowers bloom to provide beauty, fragrance & sometimes fruit for our
bodies. Animals quickly raise their young, hoping to prepare them for the
inevitable Winter. Humans are busy decorating interstate highways with
orange barrels and families rush through weekend projects to improve their
homes.
All relations are doing what they need to do to make life happen. This is
the message & energy of Fire, the element that rules the Southern quarter of
the Medicine Wheel. To Do. Put the wishes & dreams that live in your heart
into motion & begin doing instead of just dreaming.
Have you been putting off an important project because you felt you lacked
the energy to follow through with it? Take advantage of Fire¹s strength by

Beautiful Bouncing Wishes Spell
Incense of the day: Chrysanthemum
A friend once said that you should never pass a row of gumball machines without
stopping. There is a small thrill in not knowing what exactly will come tumbling
out. Will it be a nifty new treasure or a true piece of junk for which you have
just wasted your money? Four small rubber bouncy balls-as can be found in a
gumball machine-are required for this spell. The spell must be cast where
children play: a school playground, the park, your own front yard. It is best
done when there are very few children around to observe. Holding one of the
balls, face east and infuse the ball with a good wish appropriate for the
direction-perhaps that the finder do well on an upcoming test or that he or she
find the necessary inspiration of a school project. Having charged it with your
wish, toss the ball eastward, sending your wishes with it. Do the same with the
remaining three balls, making directionally appropriate wishes.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip
Bath Mush
1/4 cup aloe gel (the pure kind from the health food store)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup sea or rock salt
1/4 cup heavy cream or powdered milk
2 t. jojoba oil (optional)
5 drops essential oil
Sounds like a gooey mess, doesn't it? But it works wonders on your
skin. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. This is a blend
made right before the bath. I guess it could be stored in the
refrigerator for abut a week, but that sounds a little yucky to me.
All measurements are approximate since I usually just "eyeball" it.
You have to stir it well when you pour it into the bath water to make
it disperse, but it's worth it.

FREEDOM
Freedom is a state of mind. Understanding the self is the key to freedom. The
more one
understands the self, the easier it is to be liberated from the chains of waste
and negativity.
Freedom is to be uninfluenced and unaffected, to be at peace with the self. Real

experience the true essence of one's being
READINESS
Worrying about how everything will get done or whether I am capable of doing it
limits my ability
to respond to challenges considerably. the less I think about doing something
and the faster I
just get on with it, the fewer problems I cause myself. Good planning is always
helpful, but
time spent fretting and procrastinating is a major drain on my energy. The more
willing I am to
respond positively to opportunities, the more my capacity will grow.
HONESTY
It takes great courage to be honest. One of the noblest qualities in a person is
the ability to say,
"I am sorry, I was wrong, you were right". It doesn't really matter about being
right, winning
arguments or having my ideas accepted. It matters more that I am able to
recognize my
mistakes, take responsibility for them, learn the lesson and move forward with
greater maturity.

The term "Earth Goddess" is often used to describe the great force of creative
femininity. This implies that the goddess is only connected with the soil, the
surface of the planet, the elements and the minerals and the plants that are
nourished by them.
But the ancient Goddess ruled the sky as well as the soil. Her domain included
that blanket of atmosphere surrounding and sustaining us. The Goddess was not
just something we walk upon, plow into, bulldoze. She was as much above us as
below us. We are not trodding her beneath our feet, but are instead enveloped in
her. Reorienting our vision of the goddess to include the entire cosmos changes
how we view our relation to her.
