Wine Cake Recipe
This cake is an old recipe of my mother's. It is a variant of a boxed mix cake. It uses Jell-O pudding along with the wine to make a flavorful, moist cake.
Ingredients
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
- ½ cup Pecan Pieces
- 1 small Jell-O instant vanilla pudding
- ½ cup Water
- 4 eggs
- 1 pkg. Butter cake mix
- ½ cup White Wine
- ½ cup cooking oil
To Prepare Recipe: Grease and flour tube pan. Sprinkle nuts in bottom of pan. Mix other Recipe Ingredients 2 minutes. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Icing
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter of margarine
- ¼ cup White Wine
- ¼ cup water
Mix Recipe Ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil 2 to 3 minutes. Drizzle over cake.
