*Pagan Daily Devotionals*
*Dandelion Wine*
An ideal beverage for your summer Sabbat shin-digs
* 1 package dried yeast
* 1/4 cup warm water
* 2 quarts dandelion blossoms
* 4 quarts water
* 1 cup orange juice
* 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
* 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
* 6 cups sugar
You'll also need bottles and corks, for about 4 quarts of finished wine.
Dissolve the dry yeast in the 1/4 cup of warm water, in a small bowl. Wash yourblossoms and combine them in a large pot with the other ingredients. Bring to aboil and simmer for an hour. Strain out the dandelion flowers and let cool.After some cooling but while still warm, stir in the yeast. Cover the pot with atowel and let stand overnight. Pour into bottles.
Keep the UNcorked bottles in a dark place for 3 weeks. Then you can cork themup and continue to store in a cool place. This is just a basic recipe to get you started. If you are interested in makingyour own wines, this site has a collection of links to help you out
