Young Tree Camp

First National Event for Pagan Teens July 7th-11th, Adventures Unlimited
Campground, Ocoee, TN Providing the Next Generation with a Solid Education

In the today's society, religious education of teens is limited. While more
and more "open minded" families come into the open, we also see more that
aren't allowing their teens a choice when it comes to religion. We also see,
within the Pagan Community itself a desperate need to educate our next
generation; especially since seeing the effects of improper education. We
now see a generation of Pagans that have been relying on what books they can
get their hands on, and often turning the page straight to the "Love Spell"
section. Calling themselves Pagan and/or Wiccan, yet having no idea what it
means. We also see a generation of misinformed parents, and educators. It is
not that there is one single "right" way to be Pagan, but that there are
many who simply have a wrong image, with nowhere to turn for a proper
education. Legal issues are also a big concern, due to lawsuits brought upon
Community members for educating minors.

The Young Tree Pagan Educational Grove was created to help not only the
teens of today to develop a strong foundation for learning, but also as a
way for their parents, and educators to be correctly informed, and more
comfortable with their religious choice. We are not here to convert anyone,
simply to provide them with the true facts, and a sense of "how to" think,
instead of "what to".

Young Tree Camp 2008

Young Tree Grove plans to carry out its mission through Young Tree Camp, a
new event that is to be held annually, along with several other smaller
events, and weekend Camps to be held around the Country in late 2008, and
2009. This year's Young Tree Camp is scheduled to be held July 7th-11th, at
the Adventures Unlimited Campground in Ocoee, TN.

Young Tree Camp offers a 5 day educational Program to its attendees.
Covering topics from Pagan History, Herbalism, Crystal Work, Ritual & Spell
Structure, Meditation and more! We will also feature "life skill" workshops!
Workshops are to be carried out in a small group setting, allowing them to
be interactive and "hands on". Teens and their parents will be able to
interact with our educators, and get answers to any questions they may have.
We will feature speakers such as Renown Wizard Oberon Zell-Ravenheart, and
Ed Hubbard of Witchschool Inc. At Camp, everyone is sure to have an amazing
learning experience, in an environment that is safe for everyone, and
generally laid back. This also gives a chance for Community Elders to
interact with the Youth in a legally safe environment. We also encourage
attendees to be active members of both their Spiritual Community, and
Society. We simply ask people bring an open mind, and an open heart. Our
event is quite affordable, with single admissions only $70.00, we also have
family pack deals... ALL minors are required to attend with a Parent and/or
Guardian.

The Young Tree Pagan Educational Grove has already won the Support and
Sponsorship of groups such as the Grey Council, and the Church of All
Worlds. The Grey School of Wizardy, Witchschool Inc., and Green Egg Ezine
are also among our supporting Sponsors.
