Toilet Paper Roll Snowmen
Skills: fine motor, counting, identification of 'small, medium, and large'
Materials: toilet paper rolls, scissors, pipe cleaners, glue, markers, fabric scraps, clothes pins
Using a marker, divide one toilet paper roll into thirds. The sections need to be divided unequally so that the small portion can be used as the head, the mid-sized section will be the torso, and the largest section will be the bottom. Before cutting ask your child to point out which section is small, medium or large. After cutting, repeat the question. Next, put a line of glue on top of the large section and place the medium section on top of it. Use a clothes pin to hold this in place while the glue dries. Place a line of glue over the top of the medium section and secure the small section on top of it. Again, use a clothes pin to hold these sections together until the glue dries. Once the body has dried, glue pipe cleaners for arms, fabric scraps for a scarf and hat. Add your snow man's face using markers.
