Egg Nog
12 eggs (seperated)
1 lb confectioner's sugar
1 1/2 cups whiskey, ale, or dark rum
2 quarts whipping cream
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup water
1 cup rich milk
Mix the egg yolks, sugar, alcohol, and salt and let stand in the refrigerator overnight so that the flavors mix well. Next day, beat the egg whites until they are just stiff, and mix them and all the rest of the ingredients together until slightly thick. Serve chilled.
