I wasn't quite sure where to post the reply to your questions...thought I would give here a try.
Qi Gong of any sort is a very powerful practice. I know you must reap many beneficial effects from it.
I have been practicing yoga for close to 30 years. My practice has changed a lot as my body has gotten older. At the same time it has deepened in ways I could not have imagined when I was a young yogini.
I have studied Qi Gong with a local Sifu, and while I loved it, yoga is my "thing."
I have never taken a class in martial arts.
At one point I considered taking a class with my granddaughter, but she was more interested in practicing yoga with me, so we never did.
I have studied the Tao for 16 years. Philosophically, I am more alligned with Taoist philosophy than most others that I have explored.
As the consciousness of the Earth and her inhabitants evolves, it becomes quite apparent that there is more overlap in the varried religio-philosophic sectors than the sects that grew out of them would have us believe.
All is One, we just have our different routes to travel as we explore our Oneness.
Thank you for your interest.
