Auras: How to See Them
by Eileen Nauman
You can see an aura very easily on anything or anyone. Just have one of your friends stand against a light colored wall (beige is best). Stand about 10 feet away from them. Try not to have light shining directly on the person. Look at their right or left shoulder and 'unfocus' your eyes so it looks a little blurry. You will see a transparent "line" above the shoulder. Depending upon the energy and vitality of the person, it can be anywhere between 1 to 3 inches thick. It can look like a colorless 'blanket' outlining the complete physical body. This is the first field of the aura and it is called the "etheric" field.
It might take you 3 or 4 tries (do it only once a day) before you see it--but you will. Then, when you get the hang of it, look 'past' (unfocused eyes) an animal where it is sitting and see if you see the line of the etheric around them. You can do the same for a plant. Look 'past' a leaf and see if you see the outline. You will :-)
Once you get a hang of how to do this, you can begin to 'see' the etheric on anyone and everyone. This is the first step in learning how to 'see' a person's aura.
You can also 'feel' the etheric field, too. All you have to do is hold your hand, palm out toward a person's arm about 12 inches away. Close your eyes. Slowly move your hand toward the person. When you feel 'resistance' (it feels like you have encountered jelly and your hand is bouncing off of it slightly), then open your eyes and see where your palm is in relation to the person's arm. What you have 'felt' is the etheric field of that person. Also, the etheric field can feel very cool or very hot; and everyone's etheric field is a different temperature. So, note how 'hot' or 'cold' it is. There is no 'right' temperature on the etheric, by the way. Whatever you find, keep notes in a journal for that person.
