I've gone through a lot of "aquarium" theme as well, in particular right after my husband and I moved back to Norway after several years in London.
At the time I was worrying a lot, and I had dream upon dream about aquariums where either the fish were too big or the water dirty, or monster fish eating the other fish and then getting on to me and my husband and so on. Most dreams were really unpleasant. That was in 2003/2004.
Then a few weeks ago, I had a dream where there was a large aquarium at the head of our bed, instead of a head board. The fish were golden and beautiful, and the tank was the right size for all the fishes, and they all seemed harmonious in there.
Water is a strong symbol of emotion, and fish live in the water and so become a symbol of our emotional lives, I think. My intuition also wants me to say that it's a symbol of how you feel about abundance, the feeling of having enough in your life, of feeling safe and secure, in particular when this symbol comes up in connection with a purse, which is where you keep "the treasures" of your life.
The purse with your pictures of it - I think is definately a picture of you and your emotional life, and a sort of barometer of how you are feeling when it comes to, well yes, the treasures of your life. Clear, clean water is good, clear, clean plastic is good, golden, healthy fish which seems happy in there is definately good.
The Chinese use gold fish as a means of energizing in Feng Shui, for instance a particular corner of a room or a garden.
I'd say this is a very good dream. The gold is either material or spiritual, you'd know that better than me.
That's my take on it.
