Just finished the entire book(whew!).......going for a second reading again to get better impressions from it.
As far as i know, the author only mentions that he is shaman-trained, knows astrology and is a final-incarnation( sorta of the climax of all his other incarnations). Other than that, not much is know. I think he did not want people to concentrate too much on him. Maybe that is how we should leave it to be. But you can read his own observations and thoughts from the site i mentioned before.
I haven't read the Seth materials before, so i can't comment. But the author does mention that it is one of the more credible channelled sources.
Interestingly, the author starts that as one truely becomes more spiritual, one is less religious. The Jesus and Buddha potaryed in the bible and popular literature are misleading.
I'm sure whirlwind will know more about what the real "jesus" is about. As for buddha, some of his teachings are useful, but the concept of karma and abstaining from the affairs of the illusionary world completely are again misleading.
It's all learning experiences in the end. You don't repay something for what you did in your "last life", since your other incarnations are simultaeously living out their lives now. This trap will slow your progress to "repaying your debts".
But you do incur consequences for following the choices you make. But it is not "bad" or "wrong". Put your hand in the fire and get burnt. Instant consequences.
The rule of thumb is if any religion or teaching identifies with genders,body or worship of external deities, then it leads to a spiritual dead-end, even though the teachings may be useful and sincere. In other words, take what is useful and discard the dogma garbage.
Spirits are of both genders, male and female. So you can be sure that any gods or goddness made known are still in the polarity-based 3D and 4D realms.YOU (higher-self) are beyond that.
Since everyone's path is unique, then one should go connect with their higher-self for guidance. The book only includes one technique that the author uses. That is of concentrating on the chakras from the top(crown) to the bottom for connection to one's Higher-self. He says to use gold-light!
This is a move away from the usual practice of concentrating on the lower chakras almost exclusively i must say. Hmmm.....reminds me of the inherent lure of the power-trap that many people are stuck in when cultivating their energies on these chakras.
With regards to the Movie matrix, he mentions that though there are some similarities and truth, it is of the body and a light-sider mentality. Meaning the movie potrays physical savalation through a saviour(Neo). This is external depedence on someone to help you to "unplug from the matrix". Fighting against the matrix to change the rules as depicted in the show is not allowed and will not happen in our reality here. You can try of course(light-siders), it's all part of the experience anyway.
But it sure was a great movie!

Not only that, it seems dude had a sense of humor that doesn't translate very well and while not martial he wasn't a pacifist either.
