The Tower   I was a prisoner in an ivory Tower of bones with two glass windows of eyes...   Enraged, I cursed the keeper til I was spent...  Alone and afraid I turned from the windows and began to search the dark recesses of the tower!   I was amazed to find a stranger there... He told me he had been there all the while! I had not found him for I had been too busy at the windows. I supped with Him... He gave me strength, and all wisdom I could contain -  He warmed my heart, taught me love...  and set me free!   I returned to the Tower to make it a cathedral... so that He would abide with me...   I am now no longer alone as He is my guest and we shall remain together even after the Tower crumbles into dust...     ~eerie © 1976
