Just wanted to share....There's a Divabetic Makeover this afternoon, here in Cleveland Ohio, and its free, and they have carb counted foods, and guest speakers, free stuff, pampering, makeup makovers, pictures, fashion show. Can't wait to go, never been to anything for diabetics, taking my daughters so they can enjoy also!! I'll let ya know how it went. Have a great day ! |

You've devised a very good plan, Shawna.... by including different members of your family they will see for themselves how tricky it is in maintaining a healthy bloodsugar level and weight.... maybe they will be more sympathetic and helpful once they see and hear it all from someone else.... woooo hooooo, gf...enjoy yourself today. Oh HOW Exciting... Please do let us know how it all went and yeah if you took a picture of the event share... I've been to several diabetes health expo's and fairs but never a Divabetic before... sounds fabulous!!! Glad your daughters went along with you... very important for the entire family to eat healthy as we should... keep smiling, Cuddles |

Yeps this were the people who pass the boas! We had such a blast...this is what they had there...Get makeup done, hair done, manicure, pedicure info, info on dressing up, going green, pictures, hand massages, opportunity to talk to members of the American Diabetes Association for education and signing up for their small groups that meet locally and monthly. Fashion show, contest on who can be the best diva, lots of prizes and give aways, a ton of finger foods all carb friendly, massage chairs, all kinds of handouts, freebies(and if its free its for me, and i'll take two, thanks), i even got a full 8oz bath and body-body lotion-cherries in bloom...Needless to say I was pampered, I took my daughters, and a good friend of mine that needed a special day too. We had a blast, we were there for almost 4 hrs, have some nice pics of us in boas...i would post it here if someone could tell me how to post..if we can? |

Shawna...glad you had a good day, hon.... it's nice to hear the excitement in your post. As for getting pics onto the board, do you have your pics saved to your computer? If so, do you see the square icon in the yellow bar at the top of the message box that is two to the left of the smiley? (I'm hoping you have the yellow bar on the top of your message screen when you are in your reply box).... the square with what looks like mountains in it is the "insert picture" button. If you click it, it will say insert pictures and it will give you three tab options on top: my online photos, my computer, and clipart gallery. If your pics are on your computer, click that tab. Another screen will come up that says, browse. Click that and find where they are saved on your computer and highlight the photo you want to post. Then hit the "add photo" button and it should come up into your message box. Add whatever other photos you want following the same procedure. I only put two or three in one message as sometimes MSN has trouble doing multiples.... hope this helps.... and doesn't confuse... and I look forward to seeing pics of your fun day. See ya.
